MONOPRICE WINS OVER A TOUGH NEW YORK TECH CROWD AT INTEROP EAST 2012


New Yorkers are known for being a tough crowd, ever skeptical of newcomers especially emerging companies.

However, you would never know it from the enthusiastic — almost at times ecstatic — reception Monoprice received from both long-time and new customers during our first appearance at the recent INTEROP EAST show (Oct. 3-4, 2012) held in the Javits Center in New York City.

Monoprice’s growing popularity among IT and data professionals as a viable resource for high quality and affordable IT, networking and tech accessories was more than apparent at our booth. The majority of attendees that visited our company’s display were already aware of Monoprice and were true brand evangelists. Providing that crucial aspect of a friendly, knowledgeable staff to go along with our brand name went over well for those we met at INTEROP.

As during our previous trade show — CEDIA in Indianapolis — many of our booth visitors were stunned by the prices featured and were eager to find out more.

Monoprice also previewed and launched new networking products and mobile accessories at the show.

These included previewing the HD Stream Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router (600 Mbps) w/USB Server for $51.00, Ethernet Over Power Powerline 200mbps Converter – HD Stream Kit for $49.95, Ethernet Over Power Powerline 200 mbps Converter w Integrated WIFI + HD Stream Kit for $74.00, High Power Gigabit POE Injector for $19.00, and introducing new mobile accessories — external battery pack and charger (9000mAh) for iPad®, iPhone (excluding iPhone 5) and iPod® for $38.00, ( Product ID # 9531 ) and Keyboard folio w mechanical keys for iPad 2 and iPad 3 for $38.00 ( Product ID #9295 ).

The routers, converters and networking cables received a lot attention from booth visitors as did our iPhone and iPad accessories.

The true highlight of Monoprice’s East coast swing was experiencing our customer’s passion for Monoprice’s products. This continues to prove an invaluable experience for Monoprice’s trade show team in refining and expanding on creating successful trade shows in the future.
